This chasuble was worn by Pope Benedict XVI, during his visit to Brasil in May 2007.

The chasuble is made in Cantate, a structured fabric with gold threads woven into the material, of 99% wool and 1% lurex. Width 63" (160 cm), length 53" (135 cm), unlined; with inside stole.

Machine embroidered with gold and silver threads on handwoven banding in Seta fabric, with embroidery on the sides and embroidered neck. With embroidered roll collar "3".
The handwoven band has random knots woven into the fabrics. These are not considered as flaws, but enhance the rustic beauty of this fabric.
